Pictures for the People: the Printed Image in Britain before photography

Speaker: Jasper Jennings

In the thisinstallment of the ABA-IES Book Collecting Seminar series, former ABA Member Jasper Jennings will consider aspects of the print trade and its consumers in an age before the photograph revolutionized how we see our world. He will touch on notions of the print as art, on the current market for those images that have come down to us, and why they still matter.  His talk will be illustrated with examples of the prints that have passed through his hands over his 12 years as a dealer.
