Journals
Along with its own books publishing programme, the University of London Press also supports the wider journal publishing of the School of Advanced Study at the University of London. This includes two open access journals published by the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) – see below. Both journals are published under a ‘Diamond’ open access model, whereby authors publish immediate open access without having to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) and articles are free to read and download. This open access publishing model supports the mission of both the UoL Press and IALS in ensuring greater accessibility and discoverability of the research published in these journals by a wider global audience including researchers, practitioners, policymakers and the wider public.
Both journals use the Open Journals Systems platform, an intuitive system that covers all the technical needs of a journal.
Amicus Curiae
Amicus Curiae (‘Friend of the Court’) serves as a lively and informative publication for raising and exploring important legal issues. The journal encourages interaction between those involved with the legal process, including practitioners, academics, members of the judiciary, regulators, and law enforcement officers. Home to a broad variety of topics, the journal helps to promote a better understanding of the theory and practice of the rule of law, access to justice (including Alternate Dispute Resolution and Online Dispute Resolution), good governance, sustainable development and inclusion, diversity and social equality. It considers the legal dimensions of issues in both domestic and foreign law and also encourages contributions on international law and comparative legal studies.

Digital Evidence and Electronic Signature Law Review
The Digital Evidence and Electronic Signature Law Review brings articles, legal developments and case reports to academics, practitioners and the industry in relation to digital evidence and electronic signatures from across the world. The journal also seeks to include reports on technical advances and book reviews, and is issued once a year, in October/November, with advance access articles available during the year.
