Simon Parr
Learning Technologist
Profile
I joined the Doctoral Centre at SAS as a Learning Technologist in July 2021 where I help the Doctoral Centre make the most of the opportunities offered by learning technologies. This can be through conducting workshops and creating resources, and I am particularly excited to be working on the redevelopment of the Doctoral Centre's Reshape portal. Areas I am particularly passionate about are learning design, improving accessibility and the use of video to support learning. My background is in the Humanities having studied and taught History, and since 2011 I have worked in Technology Enhanced Learning in both the private and HE sectors. When not working I enjoy hiking, taking part in comedy improv and volunteering in a local museum.
