Taster Session: 3D Models with Photogrammetry
In this session, we will introduce you to one way of making 3D models of real-life objects: photogrammetry. Photogrammetry is the production of a 3D model from multiple 2D photographs and is one of the easiest ways to start making 3D models. This session will introduce the basic principles and give you an opportunity to try it out yourself.
Please review the material below before the session. Only those in bold are essential; others are optional if you want to know more.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own camera (the one on your phone will work) and your own laptop if you can. If you bring your own computer, please download Agisoft Metashape before the session.
We will have some cameras and computers for attendees to use as well.
