Tarot Late with card readings by John Walter
Visit the exhibition Tarot – Origins & Afterlives after hours and stay for a tarot reading in the gallery with participating artist John Walter.
John Walter has been making tarot cards for over a decade. Walter’s work continues to mutate and adapt to address viruses, illness, and cultural transmission. The artist has given tarot readings at Plymouth Art Weekender, the Wellcome Collection, and at venues in San Francisco and Delft. For these readings, Walter will read with both his Alien Sex Club Tarot (2015) and Lockdown Tarot (2020), and visitors will have the opportunity to choose which deck to receive a reading with. Visitors are also invited to think in advance of a question that they would like to ask the cards.
Please note that readings are on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to avoid any disappointment. Readings will take place in Room V of the exhibition, inside the “Tarotkammer”, and therefore other artworks on display in this room will not be viewable unless you are receiving a reading.
