Please join us on 23 June 2025 for the Refugee Law Clinic’s 5th anniversary event!


We will celebrate the impact of the Clinic with brief speeches and present dedication awards to selected volunteers, followed by a reception.

Professor David Cantor, Director of the Refugee Law Initiative, will chair the event, and speakers will include:

  • Uma Akther (Inclusion & CSR Manager, Macfarlanes LLP)
  • Ellen Kerslake (Pro Bono Associate and Solicitor-Advocate, Clifford Chance LLP)
  • Brian Dikoff (Legal Officer, Migrants Organise)
  • Vanessa Delgado (Clinic Supervising Lawyer)
  • Selected Clinic volunteers
  • Cynthia Orchard (Clinic Manager)
  • Ahmad Benswait (stateless Kuwaiti refugee and doctoral reseacher at UCL)
