The Mapping the Arts & Humanities project has developed an intuitive, interactive online map that allows users to find and connect with arts and humanities research activity more easily, and boosts visibility for research centres and networks across the UK.

The resource reveals the extraordinary diversity of our research infrastructure – made up of institutes, centres hubs, research clusters, networks, and professional, learned and scholarly societies – and provides unique insights into the shape of the arts and humanities in the UK.

Join us at the online launch of this exciting new resource, which will include a demonstration of the map and a panel discussion reflecting on what the map reveals about the research landscape, and looking ahead to what’s next for infrastructure and humanities research.

Speakers include:
  • Jo Fox, Dean of the School of Advanced Study, University of London
  • Christopher Smith, Executive Chair of the Arts and Humanities Research Council
  • Megan Bushnell, Project Officer, Mapping the Arts & Humanities
  • Tao Chang, Associate Director for Programmes at the Arts and Humanities Research Council
  • Arianna Ciula, Director and Senior Analyst, King’s Digital Lab
  • Leif Isaksen, Professor in Digital Humanities, University of Exeter

The Mapping the Arts and Humanities Project is based in the School of Advanced Study at the University of London, and was commissioned by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and Research England. Find out more.
