French philosopher Manon Garcia investigates female submission through a philosophical lens and interrogates the legal and social parameters of consent in the age of #MeToo. On the occasion of the publication of her book The Joy of Consent: A Philosophy of Good Sex (Harvard University Press, 2023), she will be in discussion with Dr Adina Stroia, Lecturer in French.

About Manon Garcia
Author of the critically-acclaimed On ne naît pas soumise, on le devient (Flammarion, 2018) and La Conversation des sexes: Philosophie du consentement (Flammarion, 2021), winner of the prestigious Prix des Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco, she is currently Junior Professor in practical philosophy at Freie Universität in Berlin.
