Poet Jane Burn will be in conversation with Lania Knight about Jane’s experiences as a poet with neurodivergence. Jane will be reading from her work, talking about how writing enabled her to speak as a young person and find her voice as a poet, and about her exploration of theories on neurodivergence and writing.

Jane Burn is an award-winning poet, hybrid writer, artist, and working-class person with autism / person with a disability. Her work is widely published in many magazines and anthologies and she regularly facilitates creative writing workshops. Her current collection, The Apothecary of Flight, is published by Nine Arches. She was the Michael Marks Awards Environmental Poet of the Year for 2023/24. Many of her essays, articles and thoughts upon creativity can be found on https://burnj.substack.com/ .

Lania Knight writes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Her most recent book is a collection of essays, There Is Fire Here. She holds a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing from University of Missouri and lectures in Creative Writing at The Open University.
