Online Registration form for Senate House Library and SAS Libraries

This form is for School of Advanced Study students, staff and visiting fellows to register details with Senate House Library and the SAS Libraries.

Once you have registered, you will be able to use your SAScard to borrow from your home institute library (if they allow borrowing), from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Library and from Senate House Library.

Library membership is normally activated in one working day (Monday to Friday).

Senate House Libraries membership is dependent on your agreement to these undertakings: 


1. I undertake to abide by the library regulations. Please check the library websites or contact individual libraries for a copy of their regulations.

2. I hereby declare that I wish to use the facilities of the Senate House Libraries solely in connection with my academic research at the institution at which I am registered. For use of the IALS library, should I wish to use the facilities in connection with any work as a practising solicitor/barrister or for any other purpose not related to my academic research, I undertake to notify the Librarian at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and to pay the appropriate admission fee.

3. I undertake to observe the provisions of current copyright law and any other copyright restrictions and to read an observe the notes displayed above the self-service photocopiers before making and copies.

4. I undertake to observe the copyright requirements relating to electronic information services available in the Library. I understand that some services are only available for academic use.
