Join us for an end-of-year celebration for the Refugee Law Clinic!
This event will bring together staff, volunteers and partners of the UoL Refugee Law Clinic to celebrate the clinic's work over the past year. It is also open to members of the public.
We will have a presentation by Clinic staff, David Neale (Legal Researcher at Garden Court Chambers) and by a group of Refugee Law Clinic volunteers.
Our keynote speaker for the event, David Neale, is a legal researcher at Garden Court Chambers. His primary expertise is in immigration, asylum and nationality law. He is a co-General Editor of Macdonald’s Immigration Law and Practice, an Assistant Consultant Editor of the British nationality volume of Halsbury’s Laws of England, a contributor to Butterworths Immigration Law Service, and writes a regular column on immigration law for Legal Action magazine. He has also written for The Guardian on the subject of young Albanian asylum seekers and is a co-author of the report on disability and asylum law launched by the Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF). David jointly won Legal Aid Support Staffer of the Year at the LAPG Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards 2022.
Following the presentations there will be a drinks reception.
