Description

OPEN TO SAS STUDENTS ONLY

The seminar is perhaps the most important element of teaching in the humanities degree. This session will consider how to structure seminars, preparing reading lists and selecting key readings, and, critically, methods to engage students (how to get discussion and debate going, what to do if the room is silent). We will look at the use of VLEs (Virtual Learning Environments) and how they supplement student learning in seminars.

Session Leader: Jo Fox (School of Advanced Study)

All welcome

This event is free to attend, but booking is required. It will be held online with details about how to join the virtual event being circulated via email to registered attendees 24 hours in advance.
