Organised by “Representation and Reality: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Aristotelian Tradition” (University of Gothenburg) and the Warburg Institute.


Free and open to all interested scholars and students.  This special reading seminar, organised by the “Representation and Reality” programme of the University of Gothenburg in conjunction with the workshop/conference 'Representation and Reality: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Aristotelian Tradition' taking place from 14.00 - 17.30 on 16 November and 10.00 - 12.30 on 17 November. This particular event will be a reading seminar on the Greek text of three chapters of Aristotle’s De anima.  

The seminar will be led by three specialists: 

• Robert Roreitner (Charles University, Prague), on De anima 3.6
• Pavel Gregorić (Institute of Philosophy, Zagreb, and Representation and Reality, Gothenburg), on De anima 3.7
• Klaus Corcilius (Tübingen), on De anima 3.8


“Representation and Reality: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Aristotelian Tradition” is a research project at the University of Gothenburg, funded by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond in Sweden.
