The School of Advanced Study is proud to host the inaugural Gafoor lecture on Indentureship Studies on behalf of the University of Warwick. This lecture, delivered by Prof. Brinsley Samaroo (Emeritus, University of the West Indies), is entitled Changing Caribbean Geographies:  Connections in Flora, Fauna and Patterns of Indian Inheritances.  Prof. Samaroo is one of the pioneers of indentureship studies and the author of numerous books and articles on the Indian presence in the Caribbean. This lecture, introduced by Prof. David Dabydeen, includes a question and answer session. An informal dinner, included in the ticket price, will be served after the lecture.
