This session will cover effective strategies for communicating your research visually at conferences, workshops, and teaching. It will cover principles of design for legibility and visual impact, tricks for embedding cues in the design, factors to consider when choosing or designing a template, and copyright issues for images. It will be aimed at a broad, interdisciplinary audience, but it will be especially useful for those who specialise in visual culture or need to offer image-heavy presentations.
