Report on the 'History in schools: what is the future?' debate

A major public debate on the future of history in schools was held at the Institute of Education on Monday 19 July, chaired by Professor Sir David Cannadine, School Distinguished Senior Fellow and former Director of the Institute of Historical Research. European Refugee Fund - 2011 Call for Proposals Launched

The 2011 Call for Proposals under the European Refugee Fund for Community Actions has now been launched. The indicative budget for this Call is €3.6 million. All applicants must request a minimum of €300,000 EU co-financing, and a maximum of €2 million if the applicant is a National Authority or the UNHCR; or €750,000 for other applicants. Co-financing is available for up to 90% of eligible costs. Proposals for this Call must address at least one of the following five priorities:

A new journal, Transitional Justice Review seeks to publish high-quality, peer reviewed scholarly articles in the field of transitional justice and post-conflict reconstruction. It provides an outlet for original research and commentary arising from the emerging discipline of transitional justice. The editors welcome all submissions addressing theoretical, normative, and empirical concerns by established scholars and by newer scholars.
