Theory That Hammarskjold Plane Was Downed Is Bolstered by UN Report

Wednesday 25 October 2017

Dr Susan Williams, senior research fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies (ICWS), is quoted in a New York Times article on the recent UN report into the death of its former secretary general in a 1961 plane crash. Dr Williams whose book Who Killed Hammarskjold? inspired the latest phase of high-level interest in the crash, said the report ‘reinforces my strong suspicion of foul play. The onus is now on the UK, the US, Belgium, France and South Africa, to release all relevant documents, including the secret records of their security and intelligence agencies and all intercepts.’
