Shakespeare conspiracy theory discussed in The Times Literary Supplement

Journalist and author Michael Caines explores literary controversies, particularly Shakespeare conspiracy theories, in A Hoax Within a Hoax in the Times Literary Supplement (27 Sept 2013 - subscription only). The article uses evidence from the Durning-Lawrence collection in the Senate House Library and discussions held at a research symposium on the Cowell Manuscript in the Durning-Lawrence collection in the Senate House Library. The symposium was hosted by the Institute of English Studies, Senate House Library, and the Friends of Senate House Library; speakers included Professor James Shapiro, the School’s ST Lee Visiting Professor 2012-13, and Dr Karen Attar, rare books librarian at Senate House and an associate research fellow of the Institute of English Studies.
