School Move to Senate House South Block delayed and expected to begin in August

Tuesday 7 July 2009

At the end of June, the University of London announced the decision to delay the start of the moves back into the South Block of Senate House.

The situation is regrettable and we are aware of the disruption and frustration the delays have caused staff, students, colleagues and visitors. However, after a thorough investigation of the extensive programme of works which has yet to be completed and all the available options, it was decided that a delay in the moves was the best course of action in the circumstances.

The moves are now expected to begin in August. Preparations are in full swing and the School is doing everything possible to ensure that its offices are settled in their new locations before the start of the new academic year. Notices of office closure due to the move will be announced on each Institute’s website in due course:

We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused but we remain positive and confident that the relocation into Senate House presents an exciting opportunity for the School and its community as a whole.
