Professor Melber on Namibian politics and the UN’s first mandate for Congo peacekeeping

Professor Henning Melber, senior research fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies (ICWS), discusses Namibian politics and the race for the South West Africa People's Organisation (Swapo) presidency in The Namibian. Meanwhile, in the Journal of African Security, he analyses the UN’s first mandate for peacekeeping in the Congo in an article entitled de ‘Mission Impossible: Hammarskjöld and the UN Mandate for the Congo (1960–1961)’.
