Professor Goldman celebrates Elizabeth Garrett Anderson

Professor Lawrence Goldman of the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) talked about Elizabeth Garrett Anderson on BBC Radio Suffolk (at 08:54). He gave the keynote lecture at a Suffolk weekend festival to mark the life and work of this pioneering woman, the first to train as a doctor and practice medicine in Britain. In his radio interview, he detailed the many obstacles she had to overcome.
