Material from Professor Sarah Churchwell’s New York Review essay on American fascism has been used to inform the Inkstick Media article ‘How fascism survives: is the United States immune?’. Professor Churchwell, public engagement chair at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, and American literature professorial fellow at the Institute of English Studies (IES), has been longlisted for the 2021 Orwell Prize for Journalism for her writing on the former US president Donald Trump and the history of fascism in America.
