Their blunt advice to those worried about dwindling food supplies is simple. Don't make a meal of the insect ingredients - you'll just put people off. Instead, simply produce brilliant dishes that no one can resist and let the tastes do the talking.

New Zealand’s leading infectious disease epidemiologist, Michael Baker, takes up his new role in London as a NZ-UK Link Foundation Visiting Professor this month. He will be based at the University of London’s School of Advanced Study ( SAS ) for 12 weeks from 20 April.

Professor Imre Demhardt, a geographer and historian with an expertise in the history of cartography, has been named the new ST Lee Visiting Fellow. He will be based at the School of Advanced Study ( SAS ), University of London, for five months from February to July.

Being Human festival returns for second year

Being Human , the UK’s only national festival of the humanities, is back for another year and is now inviting applications from across the country for public event funding. The festival will once again bring together leading academics, artists, writers, filmmakers and others for eleven days of events in November to celebrate the richness and diversity of the humanities and their place in the national culture of the UK.

Warburg Agreement

Following the court’s ruling on the interpretation of the 1944 Trust Deed, the University of London and the Advisory Council of the Warburg Institute are pleased to announce that they have, through mediation, reached a binding agreement on the future management of the Warburg Institute. We are very pleased that this outcome means that we can now draw a line under past disagreement and look to the future.
