New academic post in Human Rights, with a focus on Latin America

The Institute for the Study of the Americas and the Institute of Commonwealth Studies are seeking an individual with a background in social sciences or law with specialist knowledge of Latin America to teach human rights at a postgraduate level.

The successful candidate will play an active role in the organisation of academic events (seminars, workshops and conferences), coordinate and edit publications and fundraise for events and publications. In addition they will be required to develop new collaborations in human rights with scholars, policy makers and practitioners within the UK and internationally. 

With a PhD in a relevant field and experience of teaching at master’s level, the successful candidate will possess well-developed academic writing, editing, teaching and presentation skills and the ability to collaborate with others on research and other activities.
