Cheryl Bellisario, an alumna of the Human Rights Consortium’s (HRC) MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights, highlights, in Ka Wai Ola, the critical issues of affordable housing and homelessness in Hawaiʻi Island which have been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. She is the administrative assistant for Hawaii’s Governor’s Coordinator on Homelessness, focusing primarily on policy and advocacy.
