Being Human festival proves popular with the media

Being Human, the UK’s annual national festival of the humanities, has proved popular with regional and national media outlets. Since last Thursday it has been featured in: BBC History Extra, BBC Radio 3; BBC Radio Berkshire (at 39:10); BBC Radio Leicester (at 15:58); BBC Radio Solent (at 01:57); BBC Radio Lancashire (at 02:10:25); The Conversation; the French cable TV channel, Canal+ (starting around 37 minutes in); the Barking and Dagenham Post (print); Hillingdon Times; Borehamwood Times; Your Local Guardian; Ealing Times; Holderness Gazette (print); Yorkshire Post (print); South Wales Echo (print); Ilford Recorder (print); Docklands and East London Advertiser; The National; Carpe Diem London; Information Society; Tottenham Independent (print); The Green Parent; North East Connected; Oban Times; Merthyr Express (print); SunFM 103.4; The Argus; Radio Times; Left Lion; Chester and District Standard; Dundee’s Evening Telegraph (print); The Londonist; Information Society; The Jewish Chronicle; My Science; Jewish East End Celebration Society; Western Mail (print); Medical Express. And, on 17 November, the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) hosted a ‘Being Human takeover’ of its website. This equates to a reach over the week of more than six million readers and listeners between 16 and 22 November.
