Being Human 2017 garners media attention

The School’s nine-day Being Human festival of the humanities (17–25 November), features on BBC News, ITV News, in The Voice Newspaper, North East Connect, IanVisits and The Brighton Magazine. Activities covered include: ‘Redeeming the wolf’ from the University of Hertfordshire; Newcastle University’s interactive exhibition charting the lost connections between Tyneside and the Caribbean; University of Northumbria’s ‘Hidden histories and recovered cultures’ workshops; Tom Holland’s exploration of the ‘Piltdown Man’ hoax; and the University of Sussex’s ‘As waves of one sea’ event inviting visitors to ‘Experience the whisper of stories, speaking of the Black Atlantic, singing of jazz and Harlem and the African American literary renaissance.’
