Arbitrary justice: the fate of environmental defenders in Honduras

Dr Ainhoa Montoya, director of the Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) at the Institute of Modern Languages Research (IMLR), and CLACS postdoctoral research assistant Dr Rupert Knox, have contributed a news article to the North American Congress on Latin America Report on the Americas. Entitled ‘Arbitrary justice: the fate of environmental defenders in Honduras’, it outlines the long, convoluted legal proceedings through which the Honduran state seeks to curb environmental defenders’ opposition and dissent.
