The Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities promotes research in environmental humanities that explores the critical roles of art and culture in owning our pasts and imagining our futures.

Partnerships

The Institute’s network includes regional and local councils, and various creative and heritage organisations along the South coast, including the Isle of Wight.

The Institute has also been involved in some Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) environmental initiatives around oceans, such as the Oceanic Humanities for the Global South: https://www.oceanichumanities.com/
