Staff in the Hub work on a range of environmentally-focused projects and contribute to environmental initiatives both within the School and nationally.
Digital Humanities Climate Coalition - a community interest group in the UK-Ireland Digital Humanities Association focused on understanding and minimising the environmental impact of DH research. The group maintains the Digital Humanities Climate Coalition Toolkit, a guide to making research practices more environmentally responsible. It is geared towards digital practices, but also touches on general areas such as travel and advocacy.
Congruence Engine - one strand of this Towards a National Collection project focused on the environmental impacts of digital research and has lead to ongoing activity aimed at better understanding the energy costs of using machine learning techniques.
