Novel approaches: from academic history to historical fiction - a virtual conference, 21-25 November

Monday 14 November 2011

The Institute of Historical Research (IHR) will be creating a digital resource from material covered in its forthcoming winter conference, ‘Novel approaches: from academic history to historical fiction’, to be held on 17-18 November.

The ‘Novel approaches’ conference examines the relationship between academic history and historical fiction, with speakers including Hilary Mantel, Alison Weir, Ian Mortimer and Stella Tillyard. In the week following, podcasts from the event, as well as a range of articles, reviews and thinkpieces, will be published as part of an experimental 'virtual' conference running from 21-25 November.

While the main conference is now sold out, you can register for the virtual conference for free.
