Ms Perveen Ali
Perveen Ali is a PhD Candidate at the Law Department of the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has been a practitioner of refugee law and a refugee policy advocate for the past ten years and has worked with the UNHCR and refugee legal aid NGOs in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the US. Her dissertation is entitled “States in Crisis: Sovereignty, Humanitarianism, and Refugee Protection in the 2003 Iraq War”, critically reflecting upon her experiences and observations working with the UNHCR following the 2003 war in Iraq.
