The Refugee Law Initiative at the Human Rights Consortium of the School of Advanced Study, University of London is the only academic centre in the UK to concentrate specifically on international refugee law.
As a national focal point for leading and promoting research in this field, it works to integrate the shared interests of refugee law scholars and practitioners, stimulate collaboration between academics and non-academics, and achieve policy impact at the national and international level.
Visiting Fellows are junior or senior researchers or practitioners with relevant experience in refugee law and protection. They help to develop the activities of the Refugee Law Initiative by pursuing their own research in a relevant research area.
The Doctoral Affiliates network provides a focal point for doctoral students working on refugee law topics to connect with other doctoral students and researchers in order to exchange ideas about research and current developments.
Senior Research Associates
This network of senior researchers acts to facilitate collaborative work between established scholars in order to advance the boundaries of their respective fields of study and feed into national and international policy.
