Human Rights Consortium Projects

The Human Rights Consortium has developed a strong track-record in the organisation and support of academic, policy and practice-oriented activities on human rights.

The Refugee Law Initiative (RLI) seeks to promote the research agenda in the field of refugee law and to facilitate academic-practitioner engagement and collaboration. It is the only academic centre in the UK that focuses specifically on refugee law.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) research project, supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, is intended to provide a timely contribution to public debate on the development of the EHRC and its future at a time when it faces a number of opportunities and challenges.

Another important recent project was the Sawyer Seminar Series, a wide range of events was organised as part of the 'Fratricide and Fraternité: Understanding and Repairing Neighbourly Atrocity Project' funded by the Andrew Mellon Foundation.
