Student Support Services

Accommodation

The School of Advanced Study has been allocated quota places in the following intercollegiate Halls of Residence of the University of London for full-time students who have been offered a place of study:

Please contact the Registry (sas.registry@sas.ac.uk) for further details of the application process for disabled, family-sized or couples accommodation, which fall outside the School’s quota. Part-time students with disabilities that prevent them from studying on a full-time basis are eligible to apply for Halls accommodation.

For further details about the application procedure and to download an application form, please visit the Intercollegiate Halls website (Please ensure that you download the application form for postgraduate students)

Students must submit applications for Halls places via the SAS Registry, who will forward them on to the Intercollegiate Accommodation Bureau with the relevant covering paperwork. Please note that you should not send your application directly to the Accommodation Bureau during the quota stage.

Aside from intercollegiate residences, the University of London Housing Services offers practical help and advice to students and has access to competitively priced private accommodation. In particular, the UoL Housing Services Property Management Unit offers a range of managed self-catering accommodation for full-time postgraduate students. For further information, see www.housing.lon.ac.uk.

Please do not hesitate to contact the SAS Registry should you have any questions. Students are encouraged to submit applications for Halls of Residences at their earliest convenience, as there is competition for places.

Late-Summer places: from mid-September each academic year students may apply directly to the Residences for unallocated places. The Registry will circulate further information to students who are not offered a quota Halls place in due course. Please also see Alternative Accommodation Options information sheet [PDF] for further details.
