Accommodation
Intercollegiate Residences
The School’s full-time students are eligible for places in the University of London Intercollegiate Halls of Residence. However, students with disabilities which prevent them from studying on a full-time basis are also eligible to apply.
Quota places: In 2010/11, the School has been allocated quota places in International Hall, Lillian Penson Hall and the Garden Halls (the latter comprises Canterbury, Hughes Parry and Commonwealth Halls). Applications are now being taken and must be made through the Registry Office. Please click here for an information sheet on the application process. Early application is advised. You can download a Halls application form from the University of London Halls website. Please note that disabled (specially adapted), family-sized and couples accommodation falls outside of the School’s quota. Please contact the Registry Office or Intercollegiate Halls Accommodation Bureau for further information on the application process for this type of accommodation. Once the School's quota places are filled, the Registry will hold a waiting list.
Late-Summer/'Waiting List' places: A waiting list for late or unsuccessful applicants is usually held on the second Friday in September for all Halls of Residence. Direct applications can only be made when the waiting list opens. Applications can be made to any Hall (please see the 'Alternative Accommodation Options' information sheet, below, for further information). Students who are not in their first year of study in the 2010/11 academic year can also apply to the waiting list. A list of the Halls and further information on how to apply to the waiting list will be posted on the University of London website in early September 2010. Any applicants on the School’s reserves list will automatically receive further details of the waiting list application process.
Halls of Residence applications after the Waiting List day should be sent directly to the Intercollegiate Halls Accommodation Bureau where mid-term waiting lists are held. Applications are accepted by email, fax or in person, contact details as follows:
