Student Satisfaction Surveys

Each year the School holds satisfaction surveys of its master's (PGT) and research degree (PGR) students. These surveys are important because they enable us to continue improving our postgraduate programmes. They help us to identify areas where we do well and areas that we need to improve to ensure that our students consistently benefit from high-quality master's and doctoral research degree programmes.

Prior to 2011, the structure and content of our surveys have been based on the UK's national postgraduate satisfaction surveys: the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). From 2011 onwards, we will participate in the UK's national postgraduate satisfaction surveys.

The next survey, the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES), will open on 11 April and will close on 11 June 2012. All current master's degree students will be sent an invitation and a link to the online survey by email. Current master's degree students that have not received the invitation should email sas.info@sas.ac.uk. The next Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) will be held in 2013.

The results of the School's student satisfaction surveys are reviewed and monitored by the School's Academic Quality and Standards Committee.

We would like to thank all students and graduates that have taken the time to complete previous satisfaction surveys and students and graduates that will do so in the future.
