Careers Service
The School is served by the Careers Service of the University of London Careers Group, the largest graduate careers service in the UK. The Careers Service offers expertise and experience in working with students and graduates of all ages and at all stages of career development. They offer help to any School postgraduate student interested in developing their careers, either within their current field of work or in something completely new.
Services include:
- Drop-in advice service
- Early evening advisory service
- In-depth career discussions
- Practice interview preparation
- Careers library
They also offer personality assessment workshops, specialist workshops for Master's students, employer presentations, computer-based career guidance programmes as well as invaluable information on course funding.
In addition, the Careers Group runs career-focused events for School research students. In 2011-12 the programme is as follows:
- Developing Your Post Doctoral Research Career (14 December 2011)
- Applying for Jobs in Academia (14 February 2012)
- Preparing for Academic Interviews (9 May 2012)
- a whole-day session (11 June 2012)
