Report on how to run an independent Open Access journal available
The report on the Open Journals launch workshop, held in October, is now available in SAS-Space. The report, which includes a summary of the small group discussions concerning the various issues that face editors of independent Open Access journals, is available along with Steve Whittle and Julian Harris's presentation introducing Amicus Curiae online.
In the SAS Open Journals blog, Peter Webster, the manager of SAS-SPACE, draws attention to two of the issues raised during the workshop and its ensuing report. One issue he highlights is around the use of social media in promoting journals. The other is on the need for the relationship between author and journal change, if that journal were one managed by volunteers without the help of a publisher.
SAS Open Journals is an Open Access hosting service for social science and humanities journals produced by or in association with the School of Advanced Study.
